Bengals coordinator target Gary Kubiak might leave Broncos anyway

The Denver Broncos denied special assistant Gary Kubiak an interview for the Cincinnati Bengals’ offensive coordinator gig. Now, the two sides will part ways.

Per Adam Schefter, the two sides weren’t seeing eye-to-eye when it came to staffing and offensive philosophies.

What does this mean for Kubiak?

It means that he’ll be a free agent. While Cincinnati seems to already have their head coach locked down, Kubiak might be welcome as the team’s offensive coordinator.

Per Schefter, the Jaguars have expressed interest in Kubiak.

That said, it’ll be an interesting next few weeks as the Bengals new staff starts to take form.

Kubiak was able to help develop Phillip Lindsay into an All-Pro running back in his most recent stop. The Bengals are also reportedly considering names like Darrell Bevell and Ben McAdoo.

Imagine what Kubiak could do with Joe Mixon, though. The sky is the limit for this offense.
